Growing up, even though I had heard about Lent and had many friends who observed it, I really didn't know what it was. All I knew was that it usually had something to do with depriving yourself of chocolate or red meat and eating fish on Fridays. Typically a tradition observed in the Christian faith, Lent is the 40 day period (technically 46 days total — Sundays are not "counted" in the Lenten season) leading up to Easter. Now that I understand more about what Lent actually is (and isn't!), I feel the principles practiced and learned in the Lenten season can be beneficial to people on any path. Check out this vlog to explore some ideas on healthy ways that we could observe Lent.
